Five desperately needed Premier League transfers (2)

Chelsea - Centre-forward

Jose Mourinho just can't seem to get his strikers firing at the moment and when Fernando Torres looked a little like his old self against Tottenham Hotspur, he gets sent off and then suffers an injury to rule him out for a few weeks.

Samuel Eto'o is yet to get the hang of the Premier League and, at the age of 32, might find getting back up to pace a lot harder than a younger man - which is probably what Chelsea need.

A young hungry striker like Robert Lewandowski would be ideal for the Blues, as he would provide a formidable spearhead for an extremely creative group of attacking midfielders.

The irony is Chelsea already have that in the form of Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgian will now not appear for Mourinho's side until his season-long loan at Everton has finished.
