Cast your minds back to the summer of 2006 and a 17-year-old Theo Walcott, yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, is called up to England's World Cup squad.

Although a ton of hype surrounded the youngster following his move to Arsenal, Sven Goran Eriksson came in for a hefty amount of criticism for taking someone so young an inexperienced to Germany.

Although Walcott didn't make an appearance for England during the finals, the selection started a trend for selecting a wild card player.

So who could be the wildcard of the World Cup next summer?

We take a look at five Premier League starlets who could force their way to Brazil with their respective countries.
