Liverpool saw seven new arrivals join in the latest transfer window, but there is still a piece or two missing in the Anfield jigsaw.
Here are three realistic signings that would prove great additions to the Liverpool side:
The first is Porto's defensive midfielder, Fernando Reges.
Liverpool's midfield has been the weakest position so far this season, and the ball winning Brazilian is just the player that Liverpool need.
He has been an integral part of a Porto side that has won numerous trophies in recent years, with his ability to break down opposition attacks as well as being very capable of distributing the ball to team mates.
The 26-year-old might see a move to the Premier League as just the right thing to give him a shot of playing for Brazil at the next World Cup.
Hatem Ben Arfa is a name that you'll often find in the headlines.
He has his positives and his negatives, but he is undoubtedly a quality player who is capable of the spectacular.
If Liverpool change to a 4-2-3-1 system, he would prove a terrific option at right midfield.
He can cut onto his left and unleash a strike, but with a perfectly efficient right foot, he can just as easily get to the byline and whip in a cross.
His unpredictable nature is one of the things that makes him such a dangerous player.
It is unlikely that he would be able to play on the right in a 3-4-1-2 due to his laziness in tracking back, but he would still be a valuable asset to the Reds.
The final player is an audacious suggestion, but you can't rule out the possibility of a loan deal for Barcelona defender, Martin Montoya.
Liverpool are lacking in the right wing back position, resorting to playing Raheem Sterling in the position last game following Johnson's injury.
Montoya would be an excellent option for a back up to Johnson, and whilst a move is unlikely, there is always a chance and Montoya might see Liverpool as an opportunity to seriously contend for a regular first-team place.
If Liverpool manage to sign just one of these three players, they can count January as another successful window.
If they are serious about pushing for a top four spot, then fresh blood is a must in January and these are some of the best options available to Rodgers.
