Liverpool defender Tiago Llori is a loan target for Spanish side Valencia, according to the Daily Mail.

The defender is yet to feature for the Reds this season and a loan move could prepare him for a place in the first-team.

The 20-year-old signed for Liverpool in the summer for £7million from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, but is yet to make his debut under manager Brendan Rodgers.

He has plenty of experienced centre-backs ahead of him in the pecking order, with the likes of Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure, Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel all preferred choices.

Llori could be a replacement for Adil Rami, who is set to join AC Milan in the January transfer window after falling out with Valencia.

It was also reported that the FA are trying to get Llori - who was born in London - to switch national sides and turn his back on Portugal to play for England. He has represented Portugal's youth sides but hasn't played for them at senior level.
