British and Commonwealth Heavyweight champion David Price has had a tough year, with two back to back losses - falling victim to Tony Thompson.

Due to these losses, the 30 year old decided to part with long time trainer Franny Smith, and has called upon trainer Adam Booth to help restructure his hopes of a world title.

Booth knows all about training heavyweights as he is the trainer and manager of former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye.

Booth and Price had been discussing the idea and decided to have a trial training session together.

The training session proved successful and trainer Booth has agreed to work with 30-year-old Price.

Price is looking forward to working Booth and told SkySports: "I've got a good feeling about this move, and truly believe Adam is the man to bring out my true potential."

Price is looking to rebuild the mental aspect of his game and  this was one of the reasons the heavyweight selected Booth.

"The mental side of the game is a big issue for me," Price told SkySports. "And that's something Adam spends a lot of time thinking about and working on."

Booth is a renowned as a world class trainer and boxing fans would be hoping that he can be the man behind Price being a future success as he was prior to 2013.

The boxing trainer has also previously worked with the likes of George Groves, Danny Williams and top female fighter Cathy Brown.

He will also have an eye on long-term trainee Haye who is set to fight Tyson Fury on Feburary after the Hayemaker was forced to abandon their previous date.
