Gervinho - Ivory Coast

Football News
24/7

Ivory Coast striker Gervinho was allowed the leave Arsenal by manager Arsene Wenger in the summer, after failing to help fill the void left by Robin Van Persie's departure.

28 league goals in 68 games for Lille won the striker a £10 million move to the Premier League in 2011.

Gervinho found the net on only four occasions in his first season at the Emirates, and managed only seven goals in this second and final season.

Serie A side Roma took the striker off Wenger's hands in August.

The Ivory coast lead Senegal 3-1 after their first leg World Cup play-off match and are set for a place in Brazil.

The former Gunner will look to prove his critics wrong in Serie A this season and follow it up with a eye catching performance in Brazil next summer.
