Andros Townsend | Tottenham Hotspur

England fans are faithful that Andros Townsend is the next big thing for the national side – an expectation that could make or break the Spurs winger – but he has so far taken the hype in his stride.

The 22-year-old was a serious handful for Poland in the decisive World Cup qualifier following his first senior goal for England with a rasping low-drive against Montenegro during the week.

His pace and direct style of play has offered a refreshing and dangerous outlet during his two caps for Roy Hodgson's men, but must build on his good form if he is to confirm his place at Brazil 2014.
