This summer's transfer window saw another young and talented South American star make a big money move to the Premier League.

Argentine forward Erik Lamela completed a move to Tottenham from AS Roma for £25million with big things expected from the 21-year-old.

Lamela has found his start to life at White Hart Lane tough as he adapts to the English game.

Spurs fans will be hoping that the young attacking midfielder can start firing soon for their side and pay back a large chunk of the fee invested in him.

Is it too soon to call someone a flop after four games? Let's hope his performances are more memorable than some of the other South Americans who have made the switch to England.

Here we look at some of the most memorable and worst players from the South American continent to have played in the Premier League. Flop is an understatement.
