Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey appear set to recover from their respective injuries and become available for Arsenal's weekend clash with Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium.

Özil had to be substituted during Germany's defeat of Sweden on Tuesday evening after sustaining a knock to his knee, while Ramsey was suffering from a sore thigh after helping Wales to a creditable draw with Belgium.

The midfield duo have been Arsenal's most influential players so far this season, and there were concerns that both would be unavailable for the visit of the Canaries on Saturday afternoon.

However, according to ESPN, Özil and Ramsey are expected to be available for selection, although Arsene Wenger may chose to rest at least one of the players ahead of the clash with Borussia Dortmund, given their recent exertions.

Arsenal host Dortmund in the Champions League next Tuesday having recorded victory in each of their outings in the competition so far, although the Germans are likely to pose the sternest examination yet.

The Gunners began their campaign with a win away against Marseille, before clinching an impressive victory against Napoli during which Özil scored his first goal for the club.
