Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha will not be joining Fulham on loan in January, Martin Jol has confirmed.
The Cottagers' boss believes Zaha, despite not playing a single minute of Premier League football for the Red Devils, is likely to stay at Old Trafford.
"He did very well actually in pre-season so there was no reason to make an enquiry about him," Jol told reporters.
The Dutchman then added: "I feel that on the flank we are ok, you know. We've got five or six [players in that position]."
Zaha last played for Manchester United in August's 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield at Wembley - and has failed to even make the bench for numerous fixtures since.
United boss David Moyes stated this week that Zaha, who United paid £15m to Crystal Palace for last January, is gradually getting to the required level.
But speculation has been rife this week that the 20-year-old will be loaned to another Premier League club during the winter transfer window, with Fulham and Newcastle United both touted as potential destinations.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has yet to respond to the rumours.
