Arsenal and Chelsea target Karim Benzema has been sensationally linked with a €45million move away from Real Madrid to the Premier League, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.

The newspaper claims that the Frenchman, who has come under heavy criticism from Madrid fans this year, could move to England for around €45million.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both thought to be keeping tabs on the forward and, although neither is officially confirmed as the club in question, it could quite easily be either party.

Real Madrid are thought to be preparing a new deal to offer their striker, whose current deal runs out in 2015, but may face opt to sell him in order to fund a move for one of two long-term targets, Luis Suarez and Radamel Falcao.

And now reports in Spain are stating that infamous agent Francois Gallardo, who has a history of breaking news about player transfers often long before they come to fruition, has claimed an offer between €40million and €50million will be made from an English outfit.

The agent is quoted as saying that the Premier League club: "Wants this to happen this winter, and if this is not possible, the next summer at the latest."

However he refused to specify which club it was, stating only that it was an "important club."
