Manchester City defender Micah Richards pulled a hilarious prank on the team's staff as he convinced them he had picked up another injury.

While filming a commercial, Richards slipped on the studio floor wearing his studs and it is possible he could have picked up some sort of problem- and let's be honest, some players go down with less.

After this he entered the club's staff room and was pretty convincing with his acting.

A slight limp and a despondent look, and he'd sucked them in.

"Think I’ve pulled my hamstring," he said to the club's photographer and marketing manager.

"Don’t you dare Micah," one responded, as the mood took a notably chilly turn.

"I swear," he continued. "When I slipped, I swear."

The three women looked quite worried and believed Richards' words.

Yet the defender couldn't handled it for much longer, letting out with a big "naaaah".

"Your heart dropped," he said to the ladies, laughing and then pointing. "You was getting sacked! You was getting sacked."

Have a look at Richards' prank in the video above.
