With just one week left of the AFL Trade Period, GMS takes a look at the top deals to have been completed so far...
Dale Thomas - Collingwood to Carlton
The second overall pick in the NAB AFL Draft of 2005, Premiership midfielder Dale Thomas decided to swap Collingwood for fierce rivals Carlton.
Reuniting with ex-Pies coach Mick Malthouse, Thomas penned a deal believed to be worth $700,000 a year for the next four years - a deal Collingwood declined to match.
Lance Franklin - Hawthorn to Sydney Swans
Arguably the competitions biggest attraction, superstar forward Lance "Buddy" Franklin decided to swap premiers Hawthorn for fellow premiership contenders the Sydney Swans.
Having been linked with expansion club Greater Western Sydney throughout the 2013 season, Franklin shocked the footy world by penning a massive nine-year deal worth $10m in order to move north with the Swans.
Colin Sylvia - Melbourne to Freemantle
Sylvia decided to have a crack at winning a flag with last seasons runners-up Freemantle after deciding to leave crisis club Melbourne.
The midfielder will be hoping Dockers coach Ross Lyon can lead the club towards the last weeks of September again this time round, after making their maiden appearance in a Grand Final in 2013.
Ben McEvoy - St Kilda to Hawthorn
Premiers Hawthorn will be hoping ruckman Ben McEvoy can fill the void left by retired Premiership player Max Bailey after the formers switch from St Kilda.
The big bodied McEvoy will be hoping the recent success of the Hawks can continue after struggling with St Kilda last time around.
Eddie Betts - Carlton to Adelaide Crows
Speed merchant Betts decided to swap Carlton for Adelaide penning a deal believed to be worth around $500,000 a year.
The indigenous goal sneak will be hoping to continue kicking goals for his new club after Carlton decided against matching the Crows offer.
Shane Mumford - Sydney Swans to Greater Western Sydney
The acquisition of ruckman Mumford adds experience to a fledgling GWS side.
Mumford will be expected to lead the young stars of the expansion side after leaving rivals the Sydney Swans to ease their salary cap after their capture of Hawthorn superstar Lance Franklin.
Shane Savage - Hawthorn to St Kilda
Young midfielder Shane Savage was traded by Hawthorn alongside pick number 17 in exchange with Ben McEvoy.
After finding opportunities limited at the premiership winning Hawks, Savage will be hoping to establish himself in the AFL gaining regular game time at a St Kilda side in transition.
