Despite the season still being in it's relative infancy and the Premier League's newest acquisitions take their time to find their feet, some look completely out of place in the frantic environment of England's top-flight.

The Premier League sides spent a lorry-load of cash this summer on a variety of players from across the globe, with some hitting the ground running and faring a lot better than others.

Players such as Mesut Ozil, Simon Mignolet and Andre Schurrle to name but a few have settled incredibly well at their new clubs, but there are others who will need to pick up their form rapidly or else have the unwanted 'transfer flop' label attached to them forever.

Here, GMS selects five players who have flattered to deceive so far this season after some high-profile moves.
