Francis Jeffers - Arsenal

Football News

A talented young striker, Jeffers made his debut for Everton in 1997 and continued to improve at Goodison Park over the next four years.

Arsene Wenger liked what he saw, and the Gunners chief spent £8million to bring the player to Highbury back in the summer of 2001.

His spell in north London was hampered by injury however, and went back to Merseyside on loan two years later before signing for Charlton permanently in 2004. 'The fox in the box' was no more for Arsenal.
