After years of success at AC Milan, the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich finally got his man after 12 months of pursuing the Ukrainian international.

However, his time at Stamford Bridge never truly sparked into life following the £30million move, scoring nine Premier League goals in two seasons for the Blues.

He returned to Italy on loan before coming back to west London for one final appearance. He left for Dynamo Kiev three-years after arriving in the English capital.
