Juan Sebastian Veron - Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson spent £28million bringing the highly-rated Argentine international to Old Trafford in the summer of 2001.

But, for whatever reason, the former Lazio man wasn't able to find his very best at United, struggling to click with teammates or gain popularity with the fans.

And, after two years with the Red Devils, he left for rivals Chelsea, where he again failed to make an impact in English football. The Premier League just wasn't for Veron.
