Rudi Garcia and AS Roma are continuing their magnificent start to this season‘s Campionato.
Their record is now eight wins, zero draws and zero defeats, with SSC Napoli being the last team to fall to the Frenchman's side.
In yesterday’s match Roma defeated Napoli with a 2-0 win having Miralem Pjanic in outstanding form scoring both goals.
The first goal was a splendid curved shot from a free kick won meters outside the box, and the second effort was from the penalty spot.
The player that committed both the free kick of the first goal as well as the penalty kick was Paolo Canavaro who received two yellow cards for his marking and left his team with a numerical disadvantage fighting to topple Roma in the match.
Napoli were unlucky - with the match still even at 0-0 they hit the post three times and missed a one on one situation against Morgan De Sanctis, Roma 'keeper.
Rudi Garcia must be over enjoyed with his players as the win came without the “capitano” Francesco Totti who was substituted in the 33rd minute of the game due to injury.
Garcia's side showed character and adapted to the loss of their talismanic captain.
Following their 2-0 defeat of Rafael Benitez's Napoli, Roma face a tricky away tie at Udinese next in Serie A.
Garcia's Roma have already seen off Milan, and along with the Napoli result, will be happy that they have been able to defeat two of this season's title challengers.
