With the arrival of Edinson Cavani this summer there were worries about how he would co-exist with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
They both want to score lots of goals, they both want to be constantly on the field and they both want to be at the centre of attention.
It seems though that Laurent Blanc has found the way to combine them in the same lineup - no mean feat. He attempts to share between them the playing in some less challenging matches in Ligue 1, in order to keep them both fresh , and in the more challenging games of Ligue 1, and of course in Champions League, he uses them at the same time.
He is implementing a rotation system and as a result they are both happy and PSG is currently top of the league tables, both in Ligue 1 and Champions League Group C.
In their most recent match in Ligue 1 this Saturday against SC Bastia, Blanc used Ibrahimovic and Cavani separately for just one half. Zlatan scored two goals in his half, one an amazing backheel-scorpio shot, and Cavani put in another two in his half.
PSG took the win with an emphatic 4-0 result - and everyone is happy. PSG fans are ecstatic with their team and these two players in particular.
It seems like Blanc has come up with a masterpiece plan in exploiting his players and their abilities to the highest degree possible.
And if this plan of his continues to work with such consistency PSG are on for great things this season. ALLEZ LES PARISIENS!!!
