Manchester United and Arsenal target, highly-rated 15-year-old Kjetil Haug, has been the subject of a 'serious bid', according to the Daily Star.

Haug, who has drawn comparisons with United legend Peter Schmeichel, despite his young age, has been linked with both Premier League clubs and has already stated his desire to join a Premier League outfit, with Manchester City and Everton also sniffing around.

United have already given a trial to the young 'keeper and was reportedly scheduled to spend time with a host of other big clubs before making a decision on his future.

The English giants may need to move fast if they want to guarantee his signature though, with current club Sarpsborg 08 having stated that they have received an offer already.

A representative of the Norwegian's club, Bjoerge Aaiestad, said: "We have got a serious offer for Kjetil and we have been informed that another offer will come from another club."

Aiestad refused to clarify exactly who were the clubs in question, stating only that they would move forward with the next steps but keep the names of the other parties anonymous.

"What we would like to do is to enter into serious negotiations regarding a transfer of Kjetil.

"Due to respect for the clubs, we do not want to comment on names or whether it is a club Kjetil has visited."
