Dear Manchester United fans,

It's been easy for a lot of you (not all of you, thankfully) to begin to hate on David Moyes already.

He has managed eight Premier League games at the helm of Manchester United, and a lot of you have already begun to call for the sacking of the new manager.

So while all of you begin to say "We need Sir Alex back" you clearly never listened to his departing words.

"Your job now is to stand by the new manager."

And most of you are not doing your jobs.

Rome was not built in a day, and the rebuilding of Manchester United won't take a day either.

Most of you expected David Moyes to simply take over the side and immediately be the best team in the world.

Well, here's reality. It does not work like that.

David Moyes needs time to experiment, implement his system, and get used to managing the great beast that Manchester United is.

Most of you are so spoiled by Sir Alex Ferguson that you forget that he is considered to be the best manager of all-time.

That record may never happen at Manchester United again, and if it does, then the manager needs time to implement his ways.

While people like Jose Mourinho can bring immediate success, have they ever stayed at a club for more then four seasons?

While there is success, it is not sustained success.

David Moyes does not want to be someone who is a quick fix or a quick alternative. He wants to build his own club, and build off the success of his predecessor.

So while the club goes through this transition period you fans should not be putting so much pressure on David Moyes. Give the man some time.

Cheer for him and provide support during the times of struggle. You guys did this for Sir Alex Ferguson, and look at how successful he was. Remember, he had some bad times too, at one point even finishing in the lower half of the table after finishing second the previous season.

So all of you need to give the same enthusiastic support as you did for Sir Alex.

Remember what the great man told all of you. "Stand by the new manager."

So stand by him and cheer when he walks by.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and David Moyes reign should not end in a day either.

All faithful Manchester United supporters.
