Arsenal and Manchester City target Jackson Martinez has become a priority target for German giants Borussia Dortmund, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
The Colombian star has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the last few months, but Dortmund have emerged as top contenders for his signature in the last couple of weeks.
It's believed that Jurgen Klopp is targeting the Porto hitman as a direct replacement for star-man Robert Lewandowski, who they seem resigned to losing at the end of the current season.
Martinez enjoyed a scintillating run of form last campaign, netting a total of 43 times in 53 appearances for his club, and has subsequently been linked with big money moves to a host of Europe's most prestigious sides.
It now appears that Arsenal and City may have to move quickly if they are to beat Dortmund to the capture of Martinez though, as last season's Champions League finalists look set to back up their interest with a full-blown pursuit.
The 27-year-old has in the past been linked with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool, but no move has ever really looked close to materialising.
