LeBron James reveals NFL desire

NBA star LeBron James has revealed a desire to try his hand in the NFL - well for one game, anyway.

The Miami Heat icon - a former number one draft pick - is unquestionably basketball's brightest talent and his awe-inspiring form in recent seasons has led many to question if he is perhaps the greatest player of all-time.

Since leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in somewhat acrimonious circumstances during the infamous summer of 2010, 28-year-old James has continued to go from strength-to-strength and the hugely-versatile small forward - along with teammates and fellow 'big three' members Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh - has provided the catalyst for the Heat's back-to-back title triumphs.

Such is James' formidable physical prowess that many have suggested that if the nine-time All-Star hadn't made such a success of his basketball career, that he easily could have made a name for himself in another prominent professional sport - American football.

Those who dream of seeing James match-up against the NFL's best could prove a reality, it would appear, after the Heat star revealed to a follower during a Twitter question and answer session that he would like to play in one game before the end of his career.

"I wanna play one NFL game before it's over," James said on his official account after being asked if he would ever consider playing in one professional American football match.
