Most clubs around Europe's top five leagues have played eight or nine matches - and we're now developing a clear picture of which teams will be competing for titles and which clubs will soon find themselves locked in a relegation battle.
Any clubs currently without a win to their names have good reason to start feeling a little edgy. Although a couple of wins could fire them a few places up their respective league tables, in most cases there's been little to suggest they're capable of doing that.
What we can confidently predict is that the teams currently bottom of the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga tables will not all be there come May. It never works out that way.
But whether they can escape the bottom three is another matter entirely.
