Patrice Evra is edging ever-closer to a departure from Manchester United in order to join former club Monaco, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.
Currently involved in a heated spat with a number of highly regarded former French professionals, including Bixente Lizarazu, Rolland Courbis and Luis Fernandez, the left-back has been in and out of the headlines all week concerning his future.
However the scales now seemed to have tipped in favour of him leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, with French giants Monaco the most likely destination.
The 32-year-old has himself cited that 'personal reasons' may prevent him from extending his current deal with the Premier League champions which expires in June, and Monaco have emerged as the favourites to acquire him.
Evra may encounter strong competition for his position from January onwards, with Leighton Baines and Luke Shaw both being linked with United.
Moyes is keen on bringing the former to the club, and is expected to do so in the next transfer window, whilst Shaw remains a long-term target.
