On Saturday, Jack Wilshere scored what looked like a certainty for Goal of the Month against Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium.

The midfielder struck after an incredible display of tight, one-touch football by Arsenal. Wilshere's goal left spectators agape, but the England international's goal of the month hopes were quickly downplayed when Swiss internationak Pajtim Kasami scored against Crystal Palace.

The incredible goal came in the 19th minute when Fulham were 1-0 down to Palace at Selhurst Park. Kasami received the ball on the right flank just outside the penalty area thanks to a long pass from Sascha Riether  and chested it down before banging it into the net from almost 18 yards out.

Wilshere took to the social networking website Twitter to express his awe.

"Well, there's my 'goal of the month' prize gone!!! Take a bow! #Player #MNF," Wilshere tweeted on his official account.

Premier League fans have been treated to some impressive goals this match week and it'll be interesting to see if any other jaw-dropping goals come our way.
