Kevin de Bruyne has so far struggled to fit into the Chelsea first-team after a great season on loan with German side Werder Bremen; so what are his options?
De Bruyne certainly has show great talent and whilst he is only young, he is undoubtedly going to grow as a first-team player.
Since his return to Chelsea, the Belgian international has not really fit into the team at the Stamford Bridge outfit.
With their current crop of midfielders, De Bruyne may have to look elsewhere to get more first-team action. But where can De Bruyne go?
Chelsea has a strong working relationship with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, where Chelsea have loaned many of their young players to gain experience.
Many believe that De Bruyne would gain good first-team experience at Vitesse, although the standard of football may not be the highest, this would be a great place for the 22-year-old to gain the experience needed to improve his abilities to fight for a first-team spot.
De Bruyne could stay and hope for a shot at Jose Mourinho's first-team in the Capital One Cup, but in order for him to improve and become a better player, some may say he has to return back to Werder Bremen to succeed in their first-team once again.
De Bruyne played 33 games scoring 10 goals and impressed enough for Bremen to have wanted him to return to the club on loan, which could be a great opportunity to get away for England and concentrate on improving his abilities on the pitch.
