Chelsea and Manchester United target Kurt Zouma has ruled out a move to Lyon - insisting he wouldn't join St Etienne's rivals for €18m-a-year.

Speaking in the French newspaper Le 10 Sport, the France international said he could not betray the support of St Etienne's fans. The teenage star has been linked with a move - Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be among his most high-profile admirers - but Zouma insists he's happy for now.

As for the speculation that linked him with Lyon, Zouma quickly quashed any such rumours.

"I can not play there, even for €18m annually!" said Zouma. "I would feel like I betrayed St Etienne and its supporters."

Zouma's close friend, Samuel Umtiti, plays for Lyon but Zouma said that even he couldn't convince him to make the switch.

"Samuel Umtiti is my friend but he plays in Lyon and is a real Lyonnais, so no!"

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been tipped to make a move for the talented young French under-21 international. Still just 18-years-old, he's already made more than 40 league appearances for his club in Ligue 1.

United have been mentioned in relation to several centre-backs, with Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic approaching the end of their careers.

Similarly, Jose Mourinho is believed to be searching for a long-term replacement for John Terry, with Porto's Eliaquim Mangala thought to be high on his list of targets.
