It's fair to say that David Moyes's start at Manchester United has been inauspicious at best.
At worst it's been very poor indeed, with the Red Devils taking a disappointing 11 points from their first eight Premier League matches, leaving them eighth in the table alongside Newcastle and promoted Hull City.
A few more poor results and United can rule themselves out of successfully defending the Premier League title, while even a top-four finish will become increasingly difficult to achieve given the impressive manner in which Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham have all started the season.
Moyes's predecessor - and the man who effectively appointed him, Sir Alex Ferguson - believes the ex-Everton boss will be afforded time at Old Trafford.
But if, say, by Christmas it's looking like United won't make the top four - then don't bet on that being the case.
With that in mind, let's look at five potential replacements for David Moyes if worst does eventually come to the worst.
