Manchester City star Yaya Toure has played down fears surrounding CSKA Moscow's pitch.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini blasted the Russian side's Khikmki Arena pitch, which has been affected by heavy rain in recent weeks.

In fact, the surface has been so bad that the Russian champions have been playing their home games elsewhere for the last two months.

The Chilean tactician labelled CSKA Moscow's pitch 'ridiculous' and said the game should be called off.

Despite Pellegrini's fears, Ivory Coast midfielder Toure has insisted his side will be able to cope with playing on CSKA's surface.

Speaking ahead of City's Group D clash, Toure said: "You have to play on pitches with problems. I don't have any problem with that.

"In Africa we have worse pitches. Most of all we have to do our best to try to win this game."

Manchester City are currently three points behind last season's Champions League winners Bayern Munich in Group D, as Pellegrini's side were beaten 3-1 at home to their German counterparts.

A win for Pellegrini's side would see them open up a three-point gap over CSKA Moscow.
