Following the news that former Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham centre-back William Gallas has signed for Hyundai A-League outfit Perth Glory, Australian football clubs look set to continue signing world-class stars in the twilight of their career.

As the local talent improves and league revenue increases, Australian clubs are now rightfully in the hunt for the signature of big stars looking to call time on their European playing days.

In the wake of a trend started by former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke, illustrious names such as Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero and ex-Liverpool winger Harry Kewell have since followed the Trinidadian Down Under.

So with A-League popularity and funding growing season after season, here are four Premier League stars who might consider seeing out their career in the Great Southern Land.
