A Russian TV station was left red-faced after accidentally mistaking Manchester City's club badge for that of local rivals Manchester United, reports the Daily Star.
The blooper aired on HTB networks ahead of the blue half of Manchester's Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, much to the amusement of fans of the Premier League champions.
Red Devils supporters love to wind-up their rivals by claiming they are the bigger club, and will have revelled in the misfortune bestowed upon the Citizens.
Thankfully, while Manuel Pellegrini's side were being mocked off the pitch, on it, they managed to secure a 2-1 win over their Group D opponents in Moscow, thanks to two goals from Sergio Aguero, and a crucial last-minute save from Joe Hart in the Manchester City goal.
The victory lifts City to second in the table, three points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who humbled Pellegrini's men following a 3-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium last time out.
Meanwhile, David Moyes will have been delighted to see Manchester United maintain their place at the top of Group A, following last night's 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
