Arsenal & Tottenham target wanted by Italian trio

Arsenal and Tottenham face competition from Italy for the signing of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, reports talkSPORT.

The Belgian international has starred in the Premier League and, despite signing a new deal with Paul Lambert's side in the summer, continues to attract interest from Europe's elite clubs.

With Juventus already monitoring the strikers situation, their Italian rivals Napoli and Lazio are also now reportedly interested in the powerful forward.

And it's expected that interest will step-up up for the 22-year-old once the January transfer window opens.

However Villa will be desperate to keep hold of their prize asset, who was instrumental in ensuring their Premier League safety in the last campaign.

But the Aston Villa hierarchy will have to hold off a number of clubs as they try to keep the striker at Villa Park.

Villa will understand the importance of keeping the Belgian star at the club as they look to continue to progress under Lambert.

But can they keep hold of him? Have your say below!
