Wayne Rooney's best Champions League moments (1)

Wayne Rooney was the stand out performer once again for Manchester United in their 1-0 win against Real Sociedad in Group A of the UEFA Champions League.

The Manchester United forward was unfortunate not to score at Old Trafford despite creating plenty of chances for himself.

The only goal in the game was turned in to his own net by Inigo Martinez after two minutes, following some great play by Rooney who's jinxing run to cut in from the edge of the area curled onto the far post, cannoning back off Martinez to give United the lead.

Manager David Moyes praised Rooney after the game for his impressive display.

Former boss Sir Alex Ferguson saw many similar performances during his time from the 28 year-old.

Rooney had has many outstanding moments in his Champions League careers.
