Tottenham: Five players who can benefit from the Europa League (5)

Erik Lamela

Lamela has a lot to prove after Spurs had to part with £30m to bring the Argentinian winger to White Hart Lane.

Lamela impressed last season with Roma - scoring 15 goals - however the 21-year-old has yet to start a game in the Premier League - making four appearances off the bench.

He has his chance in Europe to try and move up the pecking order in Spurs' midfield. It's a long list, with Andros Townsend, Christian Eriksen, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Aaron Lennon all preferred over Lamela.

The summer signing was disappointing against Anzhi in Tottenham's last Europa League clash and he needs to start showing to the boss why he had so much faith in bringing him to North London.
