Lewis Holtby

Lewis Holtby moved to Spurs in January from Schalke 04 with high ambitions.

The German international has previously said how it was always his dream to play in the Premier League as his father is British.

However, things have not quite gone to plan for the 23 year-old. The midfielder is one of many forward attacking players at White Hart Lane and Holtby is having to wait his turn for a breakthrough.

The midfielder has come out and said that he has appreciated being picked for Spurs' Europa League matches and he is repaying his manager's decision. Holtby has been impressive in Europe so far, making three appearances and scoring one goal.

If he can turn his European form into strong performances in the league, Holtby could give Villas-Boas a selection headache.
