Paris Saint-Germain made a discrete attempt to sign Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj at some point in the last few weeks, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.
Speculation over the youngsters future peaked earlier this month after it was revealed his contract would expire at the end of the current season, but he eventually penned a new deal last week.
There were reportedly a host of clubs circling round the United wonderkid, who has grabbed headlines this season with his impressive performances, but until now it hadn't emerged that any of them made a proper attempt at luring him away.
However according to sources in France, the chiefs at PSG had been working for several weeks on tracking Januzaj in an attempt to open contract negotiations that would see the winger move to Paris in January.
Manchester United are to be believed to have reacted immediately after discovering the news of PSG's intent, and convinced the teenage star to pledge his future to the club.
Januzaj signed a long-term contract that will tie him to the Premier League champions for the next five years.
