Liverpool are interested in signing Manchester City striker John Guidetti, according to the Metro.
The 21-year-old forward is yet to feature for the Citizens this season, as he has only just returned to training following a successful knee operation in the summer.
Despite recovering from injury, Guidetti is unlikely to feature in Manchester City's first team as he is behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic in Manuel Pellegrini's pecking order.
The Swedish international, who scored 20 goals in 23 goals during his season-long spell at Feyenoord in 2012, is keen on leaving the Etihad Stadium in order to play regular first-team football.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers wants to add Guidetti to his ranks - but will face stiff competition from Ligue One outfit Monaco and Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Reports suggest Manchester City will only part way with the starlet if a bid of over £5million comes in for their young striker.
