Agnieszka Radwanska's poor form at the WTA Tour Finals was compounded after a 6-2, 6-2 defeat to 25-year-old German Angelique Kerber sent her home without a single win in the competition.

The match lasted just 58 minutes, as Kerber was in imperious form, hitting an incredible 31 winners against the world number four. Her game was powerful without compromising on control and with 11 unforced errors, its clear that her game was clinical, making her serve hard to break.

While Radwanska played her signature tactical, measured tennis, it was all defensive, as Kerber played in a relentlessly powerful fashion. She totally closed Radwanska out of the first set and didn't allow her any break points, holding securely throughout.

The second set was an incredible example of all round tennis from the German, as she combined the power with masterful drop shots and angular drives against the queen of the tactical game. She looked equally comfortable moving towards the ball as well as on the baseline, never allowing the Pole to get a hold on the game and deciding the points.

In many ways, this was true of her tournament, not showing the form of a third seed, struggling greatly against Petra Kvitova in her first game and facing the dominant force of Serena Williams in her second.

On paper, she looked a good bet to make the semi-finals of the competition, but it will now be the winner of the Petra Kvitova and Kerber tie that finds themselves in the next round.

Radwanska will now be left with a familiar conundrum, as her best form has never been displayed on the biggest stages, either Tour Finals or Grand Slams, meaning her immensely talented game has not won the plaudits that it deserves.

Questions over the lack of power in her game will also resurface, as her tournament illustrates that she isn't dominant enough to beat the other women in the world's top eight.
