Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has said that he will select Diego Costa despite constant interest from Spain.

The 25-year-old played for Brazil in March, however this was only in a friendly match meaning he could easily still switch allegiances.

Costa has a Spanish passport and has said he would be willing to play for La Roja, however would he have the same depth and understanding in the Spain squad rather than Brazil?

An annoyed Brazil coach said: "Spain should respect Brazil's right to choose its players."

Brazil do have more matches coming up as they prepare for the tournament which is being held there next year. They play both Chile and Honduras in November.

Brazil look certain to call up Costa again, with Scolari adding: "We intend to pick him again. We want to be able to better analyse him.

"He is a Brazilian who has been performing well with Atletico Madrid.

"When Diego played for us the first time we heard about his satisfaction to be defending the colours of Brazil and that's still the case.''

What do you think? Is this case like the case of Adnan Januzaj playing for England?
