Gerrard interrogated in hilarious interview by young Liverpool fan
Liverpool skipper faces an altogether different type of interview
It's an opportunity that any journalist in the country would jump at, so you can imagine the delight this schoolboy must have felt when he earned the chance to interview his hero - Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard.
Wide-eyed Reds fan, 10-year-old Finn Sutton, was the lucky one picked out to represent the 'Kop Kids' and fire questions at Gerrard. Some say he did a better job than most of the red tops....
But rather than be over-awed by the occasion the cheeky young chappy pushed his luck and tried to get the Liverpool legend to dish the dirt, even go so far as to ask for an exclusive to take back to his 'editor'.
In a verbal jousting that would have impressed Frost and Nixon, Gerrard comes under pressure by his interrogator to name someone outside of football he would like to interview. The Liverpool man, beads of sweat dripping from his brow, can only muster 'Paul Gascoigne?'
As punishment, the wee chap hammers balls at a stunned Gerrard who is forced to go in goal. Too right.
Other gems include a probing line of question about the Anfield ace's hatred of brussel sprouts.
