When it's not your night, it's not your night. Cristiano Ronaldo was desperate to fire his Real Madrid side to victory in El Clasico this evening, but it just wasn't going his way.

Having been on the periphery for much of the game, the Portuguese superstar found himself in uncharted territory in the second half  - tracking back.

With Dani Alves bombing on he was always likely to have his hands full but even he couldn't have imagined this happening.

In the blink of an eye, the Barcelona full-back rolled the ball one way, then put it through Ronaldo's legs before racing through on goal.
