Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge scored one of the early contenders for goal of the season yesterday, after the striker pulled off an audacious lobbed effort.
With his side 3-1 up and coasting to a Premier League victory over West Bromich Albion, the England international showed both his confidence and quality on the ball to lob goalkeeper Boaz Myhill from outside the area and grab the Reds' fourth goal.
Sturridge has been in sensational early season goal scoring form - bagging seven league goals prior to yesterday's match.
It had looked like his strike-partner, Luis Suarez, was set to steal the headlines all on his own before Sturridge's strike, with the controversial Uruguayan bagging a brilliant hat-trick.
But Sturridge, the other member of the nicknamed 'SAS' partnership, showed exactly why Liverpool have been said to have the deadliest strikers in the Premier League at the moment by stamping his name on the score sheet.
