Manchester United will complete a £15million deal for Everton left-back Leighton Baines in January, reports the Sunday Express.
The England international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League champions, ever since former Toffees boss David Moyes defected to Old Trafford.
Moyes completed the £27.5million deadline day signing of Marouane Fellaini, but the Red Devils were unable to reach agreement with the Merseyside club over a fee for Baines.
Despite the defender's admirable loyalty, Everton will not stand in the player's way of being reunited with Moyes, as long as Manchester United meet their minimum valuation when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
With just 19 months remaining on his current contract at Goodison Park, Roberto Martinez has no plans to offer him a new deal, which gives the clearest indication yet that Baines's future lies away from Everton.
Martinez has already begun his search for a replacement for the 28-year-old, who has set his sights on dislodging Ashley Cole as England's first-choice left-back ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil next summer.
