David Beckham has revealed what his post football life is like.

It's not playing golf like Andriy Shevchenko or taking a keen interest into horse racing like Michael Owen.

Instead he's inspiring to make the perfect risotto.

The Beckham's have swapped their luxury LA lifestyle and are now living in London.

Talking to The Times magazine, the former England captain says he's now dedicated to being a full time dad, whether that's taking them to and from school or going for a kick about.

He also says how he obsessed with making the perfect Milanese risotto and saffron. After taking a six-month cooking course when living in Milan and playing for AC.

"I was obsessed with perfecting risotto because it is difficult: you have to constantly stir and add ingredients.

“Actually, I love cooking. It relaxes me. The kids love it too. Especially when I make Milanese risotto with saffron.”

Beckham further revealed how difficult it was to walk away from the sport.

It gives him a 'pang of regret' when watching.

However the former Manchester United star says that home life and seeing his children being raised and spending time with them is the most valuable thing he has ever had.
