It was an extremely successful middleweight debut for Lyoto Machida who KO'd Mark Munoz in the very first round to send a bold message to the 185lbs division.

Machida, who had a very good weight cut to make Middleweight, came out looking calm with Munoz looking very tentative.

Machida hit his opponent with a very good, hard body kick as the American tried to figure out the Brazilian's style.

'The Dragon' gave Munoz nothing at all with limited angles and feints.

The end of the fight came after just three minutes.

It was an inch perfect head kick thrown by Machida that immediately dropped 'The Filipino Wrecking Machine'.

Machida showed his class by not following up with another punch on his former training partner, knowing he was out.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight champion has really sent a bold statement to the division.

The Co-main event of the evening was unfortunately ended in a no contest.

In what could have been fight of the night between Ross Pearson and Melvin Guillard, two illegal knees thrown by Guillard opened a massive cut upon the face of the Brit.

There was no doubt that the referee had to call the contest off, and a rematch is due to take place at the UFC card in London in 2014.

Jimi Manuwa still carries his duck egg on his record in the hardest fight of his career.

His opponent, Ryan Jimmo made it a gruelling battle in the first round.

It wasn't a thrilling first round, as Jimmo looked to clinch Manuwa against the cage, however, the Brit done a very good job of defending the takedown and exploding when needing to escape.

In the second round, Manuwa landed a beautiful knee to the head, however, that's all the fighter managed.

The fight ended in a freak manor, as when Jimmo back-peddled, he collapsed as his leg gave out, causing the referee to end the contest.
