Whichever way you look at it, football is becoming a young person's game.
Gone are the days when the likes of the legendary and iconic Stanley Matthews - perhaps the best talent English football has ever produced - would happily continue their careers up until the age of 50.
With more money than ever now being invested in youth academies across the world, the game's biggest and best stars seem to be getting younger and younger with each passing year.
Despite this trend, however, there are still a number of so-called 'golden oldies' - a term we use with affection - who are defying the odds and boosting the reputation of older players everywhere.
