British gem Jimi Manuwa is ready for the big leagues says Dana White and he wants him to fight in the USA next time out.
Manuwa is now 3-0 in the UFC and 14-0 in MMA, with all of his victories coming on home turf.
The fight ended freakishly as in the second round, 'Poster Boy' hit opponent Ryan Jimmo with a knee. The shot backed his opponent up, and then suddenly dropped in agony causing the ref to stop the fight.
That's three wins by stoppage in the UFC now for Manuwa. UFC President Dana White certainly thinks it's time he took a trip across the pond and fought a higher levelled opponent.
White said at the post-event news conference: "During the fight, I was texting with Joe Silva.
"I said, 'It's time to take this kid to the next level – get him over fighting in the United States and get him in a big fight with somebody. I don't know who.'"
Manuwa was happy too with his performance in the fight. He anticipated that he would be clinched a lot against the cage in the fight and said: "It was just a matter of time until I caught him."
A really good fight for Manuwa in the USA would be Thiago Silva. Silva loves to stand up like the Brit and is a very high levelled and respected fighter.
A win over the Brazilian would put him very much into the mix at Light Heavyweight for Jon Jones' title.
