The Premier League, despite being just nine games in, is already starting to take shape with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham already competing for top spot.

Manchester City and Manchester United are currently languishing in seventh and eighth spot respectively, but it surely will be only a matter of time until the two north-west giants are among the top four once again.

A number of players such as Aaron Ramsey, Daniel Sturridge and Mesut Ozil have taken the Premier League by storm this season.

However several other low-profile players have impressed without making the headlines.

With that in mind, GMS have decided to take a look at the Premier League's best performing XI of the season so far, based on statistics brought to us by WhoScored.com.

Surprised by any of the inclusions? Or feel a player from your club should be included in the XI - have your say in the comments box below.
