Arsenal may sit at the top of the Premier League but, given his recent fabulous form, there surely is hardly a Gunner it the land that does not which the club had captured Luis Suarez from Liverpool in the summer months.
The Uruguay international was the subject of intense interest from the Gunners during the transfer window and, at one point, it appeared he would attempt to force through a move to north London.
Liverpool stood firm, however, and the player remained at Anfield. Suarez has certainly displayed no signs of a hangover from the aborted move, with the 26-year-old having scored six times in only five league appearances this season.
It is not just the volume of goals from the Liverpool striker that marks him out as a supreme talent, but also the quality of them, and Arsenal would have undoubtedly been significantly strengthened by his acquisition.
They failure to sign Suarez could be viewed as one of the great transfer misses endured by Arsene Wenger over his long career, and they have certainly been a few of those.
